Chapter Challenge 2008: Water
Guidelines
By Gwen Blakley Kinsler
“Chapter Challenge” is an annual activity of the Northern
IL Chapter (NIC) of CGOA.
All chapter members are invited to participate
- Themes for Challenge will be suggested by members in January and
decided and announced by the chairperson in February.
(Themes that are general or vague give a wide latitude for the crocheter
to create a piece which expresses his/her creativity)
Chairperson is anyone who volunteers to act in the capacity of coordinating
this activity
- Judging takes place at the August meeting of NIC
- Chairperson may create a piece but may not enter the judging
- Members receive five tickets marked with the categories and can
use them to place their vote for their favorite in each category
- Chairperson counts votes and presents prizes.
Categories for 2008:
- Most Creative use of Theme, 1st and 2nd place prizes
- Best Technique, 1st and 2nd place prizes
- Best Overall
Prizes are given to the winners of each category
- Best Overall: free one-year membership in chapter, plus more
-
Chairperson obtains prizes
- Prizes may be donated by local yarn shops and/or members or purchased
