Learn the basics of flatwork bead-crochet as you create an adorable brooch. You will wear it at Valentine‚s Day and throughout the year to show your love of crochet and beads! Makes a wonderful gift for those you love, as well. Students will learn tips and tricks of flatwork bead-crochet and how to design their own graphs. . Many tips and tricks of bead crochet will be shared and students will be encouraged to alter the pattern as they see fit to individualize their finished project.

Instructor:  Gwen Blakley Kinsler, Lifetime Member CGOA

Class Length:  5 hours

Skills Required: Student must know basic crochet stitches and feel comfortable crocheting with thread and a steel hook. INTERMEDIATE skill level.
 
Materials Kit:
$5.00: includes 1 spool Kreinik „Fine Braid (#8) AND 1 spool DMC Perle Cotton #8; Size 8 seed beads in 3 coordinating colors (1 oz.), 12‰ X 12‰ square of felt, beading needle, small amount ultra suede, pin back, plastic backing,  Original Design graph and pattern instructions, bead-crochet resources & Tips and Tricks

Homework: Dust off your steel crochet hook and warm up rusty skills by practicing thread crochet at home.
